Privacy policy

Updated September 13, 2026. This policy describes the information handled by PodPier. The operator and privacy contact are listed below.

Information we process

• Creators: email address, ownership verification, submitted podcast links, imported public show and episode information, your edits, settings, service requests and saved website content; episode campaign briefs, text drafts, review and manual-sharing status, learning observations, next actions and owner-reported platform metrics with source notes.
• Listeners: email, consent and confirmation/unsubscribe status, the show subscribed to, signup source tags and any valid promotion-link association used to record a first confirmed subscription.
• Service operation: essential session and verification tokens, request limits, hashed network identifiers, error codes and website page, playback-start and platform-link events. Short-link activity records eligible click counts with bounded duplicate-request suppression. Tags in shared links may identify an episode campaign or channel. These request counts do not identify unique listeners or prove that a person listened.
• Billing: minimal Paddle customer, subscription and transaction references, payment/access periods and adjustment status needed to reconcile service access. PodPier does not store full card numbers or payment addresses.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide and recover websites, verify ownership, publish the version you approve, operate listener consent, prepare and retain creator-reviewed promotion, measure website and tracked-link activity, preserve creator-authored learning, prevent abuse and administer subscriptions. Creator and listener emails are not used to market unrelated shows. A listener signup belongs to that show; the creator controls subsequent communications.

Cookies & browser storage

Essential cookies maintain your session. Browser storage remembers interface language, unfinished entry forms and player position. Clearing an unverified session may lose access to an unsaved preview. PodPier’s event statistics do not rely on advertising cookies.

Service providers & external content

Configured hosting and email providers process information needed to run the service and deliver confirmations. Cloudflare Turnstile checks website creation requests. When AI is enabled, the configured model provider receives the relevant submitted/public show information to organize a draft. Paddle handles checkout, billing details, tax and payment support under its own privacy terms. Providers may process information in other countries.

Published pages may load artwork and audio from a creator’s podcast host or other linked providers. Those providers receive normal browser requests and apply their own policies. External newsletter, contact and support links open the creator’s chosen service.

Retention & deletion

An unsaved preview lasts 24 hours. Email confirmation saves a private 14-day trial; confirming again does not restart it. After saved access ends, the draft is normally retained for 30 days so you can export, request help or reactivate it. Public pages and private preview access stop when their access period ends.

Sessions expire after 90 days. Site deletion removes PodPier’s site content, sharing and confirmation tokens, listener records, saved promotion campaigns and drafts, learning, owner-reported analytics, tracking links and related site activity; it does not delete the original podcast host’s content. Subscription or unresolved payment obligations must be handled before site deletion. Minimal billing/reconciliation and fraud-prevention records may be retained after content deletion where needed for those purposes or legal obligations. Payment providers keep their records under their own policies.

Expired temporary request counters and completed synchronization history are cleaned up. When backups are used, the operator is responsible for encrypted storage and a maximum retention of 30 days, including copies that may contain previously deleted data. Expired copies must be removed, and deletion requests must be reconciled before restored data returns to service. These backup and restore steps require operator action. A minimal hashed trial-usage record prevents repeated free trials.

Your choices

Creators can export or delete site data in Site settings and export listener records in Subscribers. Site export includes saved campaign briefs and assets, their recorded link-click and tagged-confirmation counts, creator-authored learning and owner-reported platform analytics. Deletion removes these associated growth records with the site. Listeners can use the unsubscribe link in the confirmation email or contact the show. Contact us for access, correction, deletion or a privacy question, including any rights available under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
